YouTube adjusts site, ups focus on playlists
YouTube is making adjustments to its site in a move that it said would make it easier for viewers to find what they want to watch and to access playlists.
In a change to the site layout, YouTube said it is moving to a “centre-aligned look” so that the service fits on any size screen – replicating the look of its mobile apps.
This will let users flip between recommended ‘What to Watch’ videos, and a users’ subscribed channels, it said.
YouTube is also putting more emphasis on its playlist functionality with new a playlist tab on users’ channels and tools to make it easier for users to edit playlists they’ve created.
