Numericable teams up with IBM for cloud
French cable operator Numericable has teamed up with IBM to launch a cloud-based service targeted at business customers.
The pair have signed a deal to develop Intrastructure-as-a-Service offerings to public and private companies via Numericable’s Completel unit.
Applications to be supported by the combination of Numericable’s fibre network with IBM’s SoftLayer Cloud Computing platform include nomadism, social business, IT availability and communication as a service.
“This collaboration was born out of a shared desire with IBM to offer our private and public clients a global package that meets their needs, current and future,” said Paul Zenou, CEO of Completel.
“The alliance between our optical fibre network and IBM’s expertise in cloud solutions ensures the performance and safety of the solutions offered to our customers.”
