Sky Deutschland revamps set-top home screen

Sky Deutschland has launched a new interactive and customisable landing page for its set-top boxes, designed to give an overview of the day and week’s best programmes across linear and on-demand TV.

Sky Home launched this week on selected DTH Sky boxes and is due to roll out more widely in the coming weeks.

The interface will appear when a viewer switches on their Sky box and they will be able to use the screen to bookmark, recorded or directly watch shows across live TV and on the Sky Anytime and Sky Select on-demand services.

Sky Deutschland said that through its editorial recommendations and a user’s customisable ‘My Favourite Channels’ list, viewers will be able to “find what’s most relevant and appealing to them with even greater ease.”

“Sky Home is the perfect tool to enhance our customers’ entertainment experience, by combining easy one-button access to the best programs with the editorial recommendations from the Sky team, all directly through the Sky boxes,” said Sky Deutschland CEO, Brian Sullivan.

At the same time, Sky Deutschland has also added a ‘personalised watchlist’ function to its Sky Anytime service on Sky+ boxes.
