Tattelecom launches mobile TV service

Tatarstan-based telecom operator Tattelecom plans a full commercial launch of new mobile TV service Fly TV in the first half of 2014, following the completion of a test phase. 

Tattelecom has tapped Russian technology provider SPB TV, which also provides the technology platform for Amedia’s Amediateka service, to deliver Fly TV. Users can currently download the Fly TV app from the Google Play Store for Android devices, and Tattelecom plans to launch an iOS version in the near future.

Fly TV currently offers 19 channels including Tatarstan channels TNV, Maydan, TMTV and iTV. The company plans to expand the range of channels available ahead of the commercial launch.
