Sony Entertainment Television joins BT
Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks has signed a carriage deal with UK telco and pay-TV provider BT for its general entertainment channel, Sony Entertainment Television.
The channel will be available from next week to BT customers that subscribe to BT TV’s ‘Entertainment’ and ‘Unlimited Extra’ packages.
Sony Entertainment Television is one of SPT’s global channel brands. It airs light and scripted entertainment and in the UK will show feature films like Seven Years in Tibet and Master and Commander and television series like Will and Grace, Life on Mars and Jane Eyre.
“Sony Entertainment Television continues to grow its audience year on year and now reaches over seven million viewers. With BT being one of the UK’s fastest growing platforms, we look forward to expanding our carriage with this new audience,” said Kate Marsh, senior vice-president for Western Europe, SPT Networks.
