Amazon originals yet to make date with Lovefilm
The Amazon original series launching on the Prime Instant in the US still have no confirmed launch date on its international service, Lovefilm.
Comedies Alpha House and Betas have both launched in the US.
When Amazon’s chief rival Netflix launches its original series – which have included House of Cards, Arrested Development and Orange is the New Black – it makes them available to customers in the US and the international markets in which it operates.
Amazon, however, has yet to launch Alpha House or Betas in the UK and Ireland or Germany, where it runs Lovefilm services.
The pilot episodes were made available as part of the process Amazon selected to choose which projects it would take to series, but subsequent episodes are not available.
A spokesman told DTVE’s sister publication, TBI, that there is not yet any confirmed launch date.
In the US, Amazon claimed its free viewing window for the opening three episodes of Alpha House was a big success and used the same release model, three for free, for Betas, which launched Friday (November 22).
