Primacom rejects Tele Columbus takeover

German cable operator Primacom has rejected a takeover offer by fellow cable operator Tele Columbus.

Primacom CEO Joachim Grendel said that his company was in a good position to play a role in German cable consolidation – but as a buyer rather than a takeover target.

He said that Primacom had successfully executed its strategy and increased its sales over the last 18 months and its growth plan is fully funded until 2017.
