Deutsche Telekom signs Teleboy deal for Swiss VOD service
Deutsche Telekom has partnered with Swiss live TV streaming service Teleboy to launch Teleboy VOD – Switzerland’s first subscription video-on-demand service.
Teleboy is using Deutsche Telekom’s VideoRise platform for the new offering. The recently-launched VOD platform comes from Deutsche Telekom’s business, development and innovation division and is powered by Saffron Digital.
Teleboy VOD will be available on iPad, iPhone and the web, with more than 2,500 hours of TV content from the likes of the BBC and the top Hollywood studios.
“Following the huge success of our live streaming service, it was a natural progression for us to introduce VOD content into our offering,” said Karim Zekri, CEO of Teleboy.
Karim El-Khazen, vice president of business development and innovation at Deutsche Telekom added: “For our wholesale business, we needed a best-in-class video-on-demand service that will support our customers around the world, like Teleboy, with all the challenges they face in an ever-evolving market.”
