Iliad and Bouygues file complaints about Numericable

French ISPs Iliad Telecom and Bouygues Telecom have filed complaints against cable operator Numericable as it moves towards its IPO.

Bouygues Telecom has made a claim for restitution over its agreement with Numericable to offer its double and triple-play services over the latter’s network. Bouygues is claiming €53 million in damages and interest over what it sees as erroneous information supplied by the cable operator ahead of the conclusion of the contract, which dates from 2009.

Numericable said the claim was unfounded and would be contested, but that it would continue to engage in operational discussions with Bouygues over the working of the contract.

Iliad, operator of the Free-branded fixed and mobile services, is meanwhile seeking to annul the IPO document registered by Numericable with financial regulator the AMF in September, which it says includes erroneous information about it.
