CTC Media makes executive hire

Russian broadcaster CTC Media has appointed former Nord Gold communications executive Alexey Shchedrin as its chief strategic communications officer.

Shchedrin’s role starts effective immediately and he will oversee Ekaterina Ostrova who leads financial communications and investor relations, Maria Starovoyt who is in charge of public relations and Elena Shneyderova who heads communications support for television projects.

“Alexey has the task of centralising management of CTC Media’s communications system by making it more effective and synergetic for our company,” said CTC Media CEO Yuliana Slashcheva.
