ProSieben FUN HD to join Sky Deutschland line-up

ProSiebenSat.1 Group-owned youth-skewing TV network, ProSieben Fun HD, will launch on Sky Deutschland early next year as part of the latter’s Sky Welt package of channels. 

The agreement marks a broadening of Sky Deutschland and ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s existing partnership, with Sky already broadcasting the SAT.1 Emotions and Kabel Eins Classics channels.

ProSieben Fun HD is due to go live on Sky Deutschland on January 14, 2014, airing a mixture of movies, series, international concert highlights and extreme sports events.

The channel will be available on TV as well as on-demand via Sky Anytime and Sky Go in the future, said Sky Deutschland.

“Pay-TV has successfully established itself in the German market. This agreement with Sky Deutschland significantly expands the reach of ProSieben FUN,” said Marcel Mohaupt, vice president pay TV and strategy at the ProSiebenSat.1 Group.
