Nova TV general director steps down
Jan Andrusko, the general director of Central European Media Enterprises (CME)-owned Czech commercial TV station, TV Nova, is stepping down at the end of the month.
The firm announced the departure in a statement yesterday, at the same time as it said that David Stogel, who worked as programming director at TV Nova from 2005 until 2011, is returning to the firm.
Stogel, who has more than 20 years of television experience in Central and Eastern Europe, becomes deputy general director of TV Nova. He has previously worked at broadcasters including SBS Broadcasting and TV2 in Hungary.
“I welcome David back to the Nova Group and am looking forward to working together with him to further strengthen the market leadership of the CME operations in the Czech Republic. David has excellent knowledge of, and experience with, TV in the Czech media market. I would like to thank Jan for his very valuable efforts and service to the company and I wish him well in his future endeavours,” said Christoph Mainusch, co-CEO at CME.
Andrusko was appointed as CEO of CET21 – the operator of TV Nova, Nova Cinema, Nova Sport and MTV Czech – in 2010. He took on his latest role as general director, Nova TV, Czech Republic, in 2011.
