QVC appoints CEO of QVC Italy

Liberty Interactive-owned shopping TV firm QVC has promoted QVC Italy’s chief merchandising officer, Gregg Bertoni, to CEO of QVC Italy.

Bertoni first joined QVC US in 1995, transferring to QVC UK in 2002 before moving over to QVC Italy.

He starts his new role effective January 1, 2014 and succeeds Steve Hofmann, who has been holding the dual roles of CEO of QVC Italy and CEO of QVC Europe since May 2012.

“QVC Italy is rapidly moving beyond start-up phase with consistently high revenue growth, customer loyalty and repeat purchase rates. Gregg has been instrumental in driving this strong performance and has the right experience and track record to further build the organisation and lead QVC Italy into its next stage of growth,” said Hofmann.
