Access to demo support for new DLNA profile
Multiscreen technology provider Access is to demonstrate support for the new DLNA Commercial Video Profile-2 (CVP-2) guidelines on its NetFront Connect Living Connect system during the DLNA Members meeting in Hawaii on Thursday.
The CVP-2 guidelines were developed by the DLNA in conjunction with service providers and are designed to enable secure playback across multiple devices such as TVs, tablets, smartphones, Blu-ray players and game consoles while also providing protection for copyright owners and content providers. The standard allows operators to use new standardised technologies including HTML5 remote user interfaces and HTTP adaptive streaming and authentication on top of existing DTCP-IP-based link layer protection.
CVP-2 also includes new 3D media formats, ‘Diagnostic’ and ‘Low Power’ mode capabilities.
