Curzon Home Cinema launching on BT TV
Curzon Home Cinema, the cinema chain’s on-demand service, has launched on BT TV, bringing independent and international movie titles to BT TV viewers on the same day as their cinema release.
The first major film to be released simultaneously on Curzon Home Cinema and in cinemas to appear on the BT TV service will be The Selfish Giant on October 25.
Curzon Home Cinema will also offer BT TV viewers films on a day-and-date basis with DVD releases, as well as curated seasons and retrospectives.
Other films on the service include What Maisie Knew, a contemporary adaptation of the Henry James novel with Julianne Moore, Steve Coogan and Alexander Skarsgard, Mister John, a Singapore-set thriller with Aidan Gillen and The Pervert’s Guide to Ideology, featuring philosopher Slavoj Žižek.
Prices for same-day cinema releases for both SD and HD will be £10 (€11.90). New HD releases will be priced at £4. Other titles will vary in price from £2.50 to £3.50.
Mel Alcock, COO of Curzon, said: “We are delighted to announce this new and exciting partnership with BT. It’s a wonderful way to bring Curzon’s respected content to a bigger audience and we look forward to watching our relationship with BT grow in the coming months.”
