Exset teams up with MStar for developing markets set-top

Exset, a specialist in TV systems for developing markets has teamed up with set-top technology provider MStar to create a chipset and software platform. 

The alliance has seen the combining of MStar’s silicon, hardware conditional access and software stack to create a set-top box architecture and reference design suited to Exset’s Digital Monetisation System (DMS), a platform that is designed to enable monetisation of digital TV rollouts in markets where traditional subscription models are thought to be impractical.
