Orange Spain revamps TV service
Orange Spain has relaunched its TV service, delivering 25 HD pay TV channels and all the country’s national and regional digital-terrestrial channels for €10 a month.
The pay TV service includes Fox, AXN, Calle 13, TNT, Comedy Central, Syfy, Fox Crime, Cosmo, Canal Hollywood, MGM, TCM, National Geographic, History Channel, Cooking Channel, BBC World, CNN, TV5, DW and Al Jazeera.
Orange is also offering the Canal+ Liga football offering for €15 a month.
The service is delivered through a new DLNA-capable media centre with recording capability and will be available across multiple devices.
Orange will allow subscribers to watch content on up to five iOS or Android devices simultaneously. Mobile customers will be able to take advantage of a new 360MB data allowance – equivalent to about two hours of viewing time a month – allowing them to watch content without consuming their existing allowance.
Orange will reportedly continue to support its legacy IPTV platform, which has about 65,000 subscribers, for now, but new subscribers will be offered the new service only.
