Virgin Media Business to connect Vue cinemas

Virgin Media’s business  unit has been contracted to supply a Wide Area Network to connect the Vue chain’s 82 cinemas across the UK.

The service will enable the Vue chain to more easily transfer digital copies of movies between screens. Set to go live in early 2014, the WAN will also mean screens can be monitored from one central location, capturing customer data and enabling the chain the adjust its schedule to accommodate demand as well as improving its ticket purchasing process, according to Virgin Media.
