CME launches dedicated Voyo Player with Alticast

Central European Media Enterprises’ (CME) subscription video-on-demand service Voyo is being made available on a new dedicated player based on middleware specialist Alticast’s OTT STB platform.

The new box is being made available initially in the Czech Republic and will be rolled out in other CME territories subsequently.

The box will be based on Alticast’s AltiPlatform and AltiView software, which support HTML5 applications, Microsoft PlayReady DRM and MPEG-DASH adaptive bit-rate encoding.
