Stofa strikes wide-ranging agreement with Viasat
Danish cable operator Stofa has struck an agreement with Modern Times Group-owned Viasat Broadcasting for the distribution of Viasat’s channels, including TV everywhere rights.
The three-year deal will see Viasat channels made available via Stofa’s StartForfra, StartForfra+, WebTv and WebTv To Go services, giving viewers the option to watch TV shows that have been aired over the past 48 hours as well as the ability to view Viasat channels on tablets and smartphones. The WebTv and WebTv To Go services are available to Stofa broadband customers.
The new deal will see Viasat’s TV3 remain in Stofa’s basic package while TV3 Puls will become part of the DK Plus package. A number of Viasat channels will also be available as à la carte options to Stofa customers with the basic package.
