SFR launches multiscreen VOD

French service provider SFR has launched a video-on-demand service on mobile and tablet devices.

Following the launch of remote recording capability for its SFR TV service, the Vivendi-owned operator has extended access to VOD to subscribers equipped with Android and iOS devides.

SFR TV customers can now VOD titles as well as the Pass Kids, Pass Ciné and Canalplay Infinity subscription VOD offerings via smartphones and tablets. The service is available via 4G, dual carrier 3G/3G+ and WiFi. Viewers can start watching on one device and finish on another, with the ability to view the same piece of content on up to five screens simultaneously.
