Arris to highlight multiscreen, HEVC and CCAP

Technology provider Arris, now combined with the former Motorola Home division it acquired, will use IBC to highlight multiscreen demos as well as HEVC and CCAP technologies.

Arris will demonstrate various aspects of the multiscreen experience on its stand. It will also highlight the latest HEVC and CCAP technologies, including the advanced transcoders and E6000 Converged Edge Router and cross-network, cross home service assurance.

Arris experts will be speaking in the IBC conference on Saturday September 14, where Sean McCarthy, Arris Fellow of the Technical Staff, will be participating in the session entitled “The Great Quality Debate: Do we really need to go beyond HD?” in conjunction with participants such as the BBC’s head of technology for HD and 3D, while John Ulm,

Arris Fellow of the Technical Staff, will be presenting his technical paper on “The Dawn of Cloud-Based DVR”.  On Monday September, 16 Santhana Chari, vice-president engineering, digital video systems, Arris will speak in the session on “Video Delivery Media – Wherever Next?”
