Arris joins MoCA board

Technology company Arris has taken a seat on the board of directors of the Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA), following its acquisition of Motorola Mobility’s Home Business. 

Carol Ansley, senior director IP Engineering, Arris, will represent the company on the board and claimed that Arris’ innovation in broadband and content is “driving the future of TV and the smart, simple connected home.”

“Arris has brought together the industry’s leading portfolio of operator and consumer solutions on a global scale, and MoCA technology is a vital component of our product strategy,” said Ansley.

Arris has been a member of MoCA since 2008. The alliance is a global standard for home entertainment networking, used by the cable, satellite and IPTV segments. MoCA has certified 127 certified products and has 53 members worldwide, including service providers, OEMs, middleware developers, consumer electronics companies and chip vendors.

“Arris’ knowledge and expertise in the service provider and connected home markets and channels represents a great addition to the Board of Directors,” said MoCA president, Charles Cerino.
