Lovefilm launches new Wii app

Amazon-owned Lovefilm has launched a new Lovefilm Instant streaming service application on Nintendo’s Wii home console.

Lovefilm said the arrival of the next-generation app on the console is the latest step in its rollout of the upgraded app to multiple platforms.

New features include an improved search function and recommendation engine, optimised user interface, and the addition of the Watchlist feature.

The app also features a homepage display that shows content currently being viewed and the last location reached in that video.

The application is available to download for the Nintendo Wii from the Wii Shop Channel from today.
