Name change and Romanian carriage deal for Museum

The Museum HD offering has been rebranded The Museum Channel and has just launched on Orange’s new pay TV service.

The high definition channel offers ‘virtual exhibitions’ from museums around the world. It is run by France-based Pure Screens, which also operates footage-based niche channels Nature, Photo, City and Ocean.

On Orange, The Museum Channel will be in the Universe HD package. The carriage deal was brokered by Germany-based Usmedia Consulting.

Orange launched a DTH pay TV service in Romania last month and plans to make it available on a range of devices in the near future.
