Teleste to showcase DOCSIS 3.1-compatible deep fibre node
Finland-based Teleste will use ANGA COM to showcase its ACE8 intelligent deep fibre node, the first product in its Intelligent Networks framework that supports forthcoming DOCSIS 3.1 requirements.
Teleste’s Intelligent Network concept comprises equipment that can be automatically adjusted, remotely configured and monitored, and accompanying management software.
According to Teleste, the Intelligent Network allows ingress signals to be automatically isolated and blocked, making it easy to identify and locate problems and significantly reduce service outages and network repair times.
The ACE8 supports frequencies up to 1.2GHz downstream and 200MHz upstream.
Teleste is also partnering with Asheridge Communications to highlight the Asheridge BarrIER, a new technology that introduces ingress/egress protection into in-home products.
BarrIER stops noise from entering networks with up to 40dB signal attenuation over the whole spectrum 5-2000MHz, and is being incorporated into isolators, amplifiers, flyleads, wall-outlets, and any device inside the home that can be accessed by the subscriber, according to Teleste.
According to Teleste, its Intelligent Network concept can reduce operating costs by up to 50%.
Teleste will be exhibiting on Stand E19 at ANGA COM.
