France Telecom becomes Orange

France Telecom will today ask its shareholders to approve the adoption of Orange as the official name of the company across all territories, marking the final stage of its transformation and the end of the use of the France Telecom name.

The company has for a number of years used Orange as the brand for all its commercial offerings. It has now proposed dropping the France Telecom name in order create a single simple, coherent brand and a better international visibility.
