HBO Go goes live in Bulgaria

HBO’s on-demand service HBO Go has launched on Bulgarian cable operator Blizoo.

The operator’s subscriber base that has a HBO subscription and a broadband internet service will now have access to more than 800 hours of movies and HBO originals, including the latest seasons of Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and True Blood.

In Central and Eastern Europe, HBO Go is operated by Budapest-headquartered HBO Central Europe and available in territories such as Poland, Hungary, Romanian, Slovenia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

blizoo is Bulgaria’s largest cable platform, offering digital TV and internet services in more than 40 cities throughout the territory. A European investment fund, EQT, owns the operator, which launched in October 2009 upon the merger of Eurocom and CableTEL.
