Teracom boosted by Danish unit despite pay TV decline

Swedish broadcast infrastructure and pay TV group Teracom was boosted by the performance of its Danish unit in the first quarter and reported increased operating profit of SEK175 million (€20.5 million), up from SEK77 million.

Revenues fell slightly from SEK1.118 billion to SEK1.113 billion.

Swedish pay TV service Boxer has sold about 20,000 advanced set-tops, with the new boxes to be rolled out in Denmark in May. Overall, however, Teracom said that pay TV numbers fell during the quarter.
