SeaWell names Mediaroom executive to board

Video distribution technology provider SeaWell Networks has named a Microsoft Mediaroom executive to its board of directors.

Pete Thompson, vice-president of Microsoft Mediaroom, has joined SeaWell’s board. Thompson joined Microsoft in 2006.

“At SeaWell, our mission is to provide operators with the same capabilities and level of control over multiscreen as they’re used to in the IPTV or cable environment,” said Brian Collie, CEO of SeaWell Networks. “Thompson has deep expertise and understanding of the unique dynamics of IPTV, as well as the evolving market requirements giving rise to innovation in multiscreen.”
