Pace chooses Myriad for RDK Java Virtual Machine
UK-based set-top box provider Pace has chosen Myriad Group’s Java technology for use in its range of RDK-compliant set-top boxes.
US cable giant Comcast’s RDK specification, a pre-integrated software bundle for set-top boxes, multi-tuner video gateways and client devices, includes the Java Virtual Machine as a key component.
“Pace is a leading global developer of advanced technologies for service providers, and we are delighted to add them to our growing list of customers in the connected home space,” said Ed Zylka, senior vice-president and general manager of Myriad’s device solutions division. “Our team will work with Pace to help deliver a high quality solution to Comcast and other cable TV providers in North America. This new customer relationship further expands our set-top market share, and demonstrates Myriad’s continued leadership and commitment to the TV service provider market globally.”
