Russian ministry reportedly planning to replace Rostelecom chief
Russia’s ministry of communications is attempting to replace the head of state-backed telecom operator Rostelecom, Alexander Provotorov, with National Cable Networks co-founder Sergei Kalugin, according to local reports.
A government source told the Kommersant newspaper that the ministry of communications and the ministry of economic development wanted to propose Kalugin as the company’s new head.
The ministry of communications previously attempted to replace Provotorov in September last year, but the move was vetoed by the Russian presidential administration.
