Get chooses Pace for media gateway

UK set-top manufacturer Pace has begun delivering its media gateway and HD client device platform to Norwegian cable operator Get.

Pace is supplying a media gateway and a companion HD client device to deliver content to a variety of devices in the home. the gateway supports real-time HD transcoding, enabling it to convert broadcast and internet-delivered content into various resolutions, formats and bit-rates for viewing on deifferent screens including TVs, tablets, laptops and smartphones. The device includes DOCSIS 3.0 support and provides dual-band WiFi and Ethernet connectivity.
