Elemental launches Nvidia-based video processing platform

Technology companies Nvidia and Elemental Technologies have launched a new video processing platform to enable the delivery of content to devices including PCs, tablets and smartphones.

According to Keith Wymbs, vice-president of marketing at Elemental, the new platform builds on Elemental’s use of graphics processing units to optimise video streaming over IP networks by incorporating the latest Nvidia Tesla GPU accelerator based on the Kepler architecture.

“By using Nvidia Tesla GPUs, Elemental is harnessing the most powerful programmable architecture on the market today, and offering customers unmatched video quality with products that continue to set the standard for large-scale video processing,” said Wymbs.
