Amino names Coles to senior role

Set-top provider Amino Communications has named Joe Coles as senior vice-president of product management and marketing.

Coles, who will have responsibility for developing and driving the company’s Aminet and Live range of IPTV/OTT set-top boxes, previously ran his own consultancy specialising in strategic portfolio management and co-founded a start-up based on a mobile app/online product to create a free Wi-Fi community for smartphone and tablet users. He has also held product management roles at Nokia and Plantronics.

“Joe brings an enormous amount of experience having shaped the strategic direction of product management and marketing for a number of global companies. We’re sure he’ll make a significant contribution to the development of our products to better serve our expanding customer base,” said Amino CEO Donald McGarva.
