Mediaset launches download on-demand offering

Italian broadcaster Mediaset has launched a download-and-play service as part of its Premium Play offering, allowing subscribers to view content offline.

Subscribers can download up to 3,000 titles to iPads via WiFi or 3G and view them later. A new version of the Premium Play app has been made available via the Apple App Store. Mediaset is not charging extra for the download service.
