Eurosport launches multiscreen subscription
Eurosport has launched a multiscreen subscription offering for its online Eurosport Player service, meaning that all existing and future subscriptions to the broadcaster’s online streaming service made online can be used across a variety of compatible devices.
These include the apps available on iOS devices via the Apple App Store, on Android devices via Google Play, on Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD devices, and on Smart TVs from Panasonic and LG.
According to Eurosport, the new pricing strategy, compatible with iOS and Android devices, is designed to reflect consumer behaviour. A Eurosport Player subscription costs €5.90 per month and to benefit from multiple access fans need to register on their PC. The log-in created can then be used on a range of devices and shared across different screens at the same time, according to Eurosport.
Arnaud Maillard, Eurosport’s new media director said: “We are delighted to be able to give fans such an impressive offer at the start of such an exciting year of sport. Eurosport is working hard to reflect the multi-screen habits of today’s sports fans, who want to access content wherever they are, around the clock. This new access to the Eurosport Player acknowledges those trends and delivers mobility, flexibility and consistent value to fans.”
