Megafon to launch OTT offering

Russian mobile operator Megafon is trialing an OTT service in preparation for a full launch within the next few weeks.

The company will launch a TV service delivered via its own broadband network and plans to roll it out to smaller operators without a TV offering. Megafon is yet to reveal whether it will subsidies the cost of OTT set-top boxes but the service is also expected to be made available via computers, smartphones and tablets.
