Mediaset’s on-demand platform reaches one million users

Mediaset’s on-demand TV service Premium Play has reached the landmark of one million users and has launched on connected TVs.

The service is attracting an average of 10,000 new users each week. The Italian broadcaster said 750,000 of Premium Play customers accessed the service online. It can be viewed via a Mediaset set-top box and on various connected devices, including PCs, iPads and the Xbox games consoles. From today, it is also available as an app on connected TVs, including on Samsung’s Smart TV platform.

Over 3,000 titles have been made available on Premium Play since it launched in February 2011.
