Cyfrowy Polsat turns loss to profit

Poland’s leading pay TV operator Cyfrowy Polsat ended September with a total of 3,557,888 subscribers, up slightly on 3,506,077 a year-earlier.

Of that figure, 117,327 took broadband services and 144,288 subscribed to mobile telephony services.

Polsat’s total revenue for the third quarter increased by PLN29 million or 4.7%, to PLN644.5 million (€7 million) up, from PLN 615.5 million for the same period a year earlier. The operator managed to turn a net loss of PLN62 million into a net profit of PLN172 million.
