Prisa’s Yomvi iPad app proving popular

Users of Spanish pay TV operator Prisa’s new iPad app have consumed an average of 6.9 titles since it launched on October 3.

The Yomvi app, which offers content from Prisa’s Canal Plus pay TV platform, including football and movies, launched on hybrid set-top boxes and PCs last year and has since been rolled out to iOS devices.  The iPad version of the app has been downloaded 68,751 times, Prisa said.

The operator is expected to further extend Yomvi to Android devices, Samsung Smart TVs and the Microsoft Xbox 360 console in the next few months.
