CSA cracks down on interruption of programme credits
French media regulator the CSA has established a framework agreement setting out rules about the way forthcoming TV programmes are trailed during shows currently on air.
The new rules will restrict the ability of broadcasters to overlay information before the end of a currently airing show.
The agreement was signed by CSA president Michel Boyon, Francine Mariani-Ducray, president of the audiovisual production working group, Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques (SACD) director-general Pascal Rogard,
Société civile des auteurs multimédias (SCAM) director-general Hervé Rony and the heads of French TV channels.
Content creators organisation SACD the welcomed the initiative, saying that the credits of currently airing shows would now be clearly visible.
