Canal Plus presents case against competition watchdog

Canal Plus yesterday presented its case against the ruling by the French competition authority on its merger with TPS to the country’s constitutional court.

The court is looking at whether the competition authority was impartial in its treatment of the pay TV operator, on the basis that the same individuals that pursued the case against Canal Plus decided the sanctions to be imposed on it after the ruling.

The Court is expected to make a statement on the case next week.
