Primacom stops sales talks

Primacom has ceased talks with potential buyers for its German cable business.

The company had received several expressions of interest and commenced talks with interested partners but none of them could satisfy Primacom’s sale criteria. As recently as last month, Deutsche Telekom, Star Capital Partners and DTK Deutsche Telekabel were reported to be attempting to buy the cable operator.

CEO Joachim Grendel said, “During these discussions, Primacom has expanded its customer base, according to its financed growth plans. The termination of the talks will not affect Primacom’s business operations and growth strategy.”
