HBO Nordic chooses Ericsson for playout services

HBO Nordic has selected Ericsson to manage the playout of its new online video service for the Nordic region.

HBO Nordic will launch its first HBO-branded service in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland in October. The premium linear and on-demand offering will be available via the streaming site hbnordic.com. Ericsson has been selected to manage playout and media management services for the new platform under a five-year deal.
