Agama launches Microsoft Mediaroom monitoring solution
Test and measurement specialist Agama Technologies has announced that it has become an official Microsoft Mediaroom eco-system partner and will launch a Mediaroom edition of its DTV Monitoring Solution at IBC2012.
The solution offers Mediaroom-powered IPTV operators the same presentation, aggregation, reporting and alarming functionality that Agama offers to all its customers. The Agama DTV Monitoring Solution offers continuous and real-time monitoring and quality assurance of all forms of video delivery, from service creation to consumption.
Integrating with the Mediaroom platform, Agama said the solution provides operators with end-to-end visibility from head-end to home, making it possible to get a detailed understanding of the service quality across the delivery network. For trending and systematic analysis, reports comparing services, regions, DSLAMs or other infrastructure parts can be generated. Reports can be tailored, scheduled and automatically emailed to all stakeholders.
“Parts of our solution have already been deployed for a few years in Mediaroom environments with several operators, primarily to monitor in headends and post A-server network locations, but now we take the next step and enable these operators to benefit from our full end-to-end solution,” said Mikael Dahlgren, CEO at Agama Technologies. “Microsoft Mediaroom is the most widely deployed IPTV platform in the world, and we are excited to be able to share our experience and proven product line for video service monitoring and quality assurance with all their operator customers worldwide.”
Agama will be exhibiting at IBC on stand 4.A55
