Hulu plans for CEO departure

A confidential memo has revealed that streaming and catch-up service Hulu plans for CEO departure is already looking at how it could replace its CEO Jason Kilar.

Trade paper Variety has obtained a confidential internal memo addressing issues facing Hulu and the top bullet point therein reads: “Outline transition plan for new CEO. Discuss potential candidates and process”.

Kilar’s future at Hulu has been in doubt for some time. He has criticized broadcast TV despite the company counting Disney, NBC and  News Corp among its backers. He has also been linked to high-profile media media jobs, most recently the then-vacant role of Yahoo CEO.
