UPC Ireland to offer 19 Sky HD channels

UPC Ireland is adding 21 HD channels to its line-up, including 21 from UK pay TV operator BSkyB.

The Irish cable operator will offer Sky Sports 1 and 2 HD, 11 Sky Movies HD channels, Sky 1 HD, Sky News HD, Sky Sports News HD, Sky Arts 1 and 2 HD and Sky Living HD.

ESPN America and Disney HD are also being added to the platform.

Simon Kelehan, head of content, UPC, said, “The addition of a range of Sky’s HD channels together with ESPN HD and Disney HD means UPC customers can get really close to the sports and movie action in glorious high definition.
