Magyar Telekom sees IPTV success


Hungarian telco Magyar Telekom ended the second quarter with 822,201 TV subscribers, an 8.6% year-on-year increase.

The telco saw most growth within its IPTV business, with subscriber numbers increasing 68.7% to 276,344. The number of DTH customers was up 9.1% to 286,374 while cable sub numbers decreased by 21.5% to 259,483.

TV revenues amounted to HUF8.5 billion (€30 million) in the second quarter, up 8.6% year-on-year.
