Apple pulls YouTube app
Apple is to stop providing pre-loaded YouTube apps in its latest iOS software for iPads and iPhones.
The technology giant said in statement that the licence to include the Google-owned YouTube app in its operating system had ended, meaning it will not be included as standard in the iOS 6 software. “Customers can use YouTube in the Safari browser and Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store,” Apple added in a statement.
Apple has offered the app on all iPhones since the smartphone launched in 2007.
